School’s in session again in many parts of the world. We have returned to the classroom in Recife as well. Our break was for the month of July (basically) and it was a mid-year break….so we are now starting second semester. The new year begins in February at the school my daughter attends.
I remember periodic public service announcement ads in the U.S. reminding people to watch out for school busses on the roads after a summer without them…..perhaps they have them here, too, I just don’t watch local TV.
In the States, school buses are largely a form of public transportation, and they almost all look basically like this:
Most of the kids riding school buses are those who attend a private school, therefore the school busses are also private. School buses in Recife come in all sizes and shapes, several colors and a variety in age. For the little kids, there are usually car seats, and almost always there’s an adult driver and a nanny on board too.
